Ram Rohit Gannavarapu is a creative electronics engineer with a keen interest in multi-disciplinary product development. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in Computer Engineering at Colorado State University. Ram is skilled in Python, Dockers, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, MATLAB, and Simulink. He also has a good understanding of machine learning, internet of things, robotics, image and digital signal processing. Ram is currently working as a Software Engineer at Tesla, where he previously interned as a Hardware Engineering Intern in the Low voltage controls and test team. During his internship, he redesigned the test framework architecture for testing body control hardware, which reduced the cycle time from 160 to 70 seconds and increased the yield by 100% compared to the previous architecture. He used Dockers to accomplish this. Ram also redesigned the GUI of the test interface to follow Tesla's design standards using React and NodeJS. He added new debug functionalities to the GUI to enable faster resolutions at the contract manufacturers. Additionally, he designed a Hardware resource manager dashboard to monitor and debug multiple Gauntlet testers that are deployed over multiple contract manufacturers. He used Prometheus, Grafana, nodeexporter, and a custom exporter to export metrics from proprietary hardware. Prior to joining Tesla, Ram worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Colorado State University, where he worked with Dr. Jeremy Daily in the field of Automotive Networks and embedded systems. He designed PCBs using Altium Designer and wrote programs to interface across CAN and J1939 using Arduino and Python. He also supported prototyping and assembly tasks of heavy vehicle test-bed devices. Ram holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Shiv Nadar University and completed his Intermediate education in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry from Sri Mega Study Circle. He completed his High School education from D.A.V Public School. Ram's tech stack includes Software Engineering, testing, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, ML, Python, and NodeJS. He has 3.60 years of relevant experience and has a vivid interest in photography and videography.
